Description:

Betrayal.io is a thrilling online multiplayer game that will test your deception and strategy skills. In this game, you find yourself in a secluded mansion with a group of players, but beware, not all of them can be trusted. As the game progresses, players are divided into two factions: the Innocents and the Betrayers.

Gameplay

At the beginning of each round, players are assigned random roles as either Innocents or Betrayers. The Innocents, who form the majority, must work together to complete various objectives and survive until the end of the game. On the other hand, the Betrayers are tasked with manipulating and deceiving the Innocents in order to eliminate them one by one.

Throughout the game, players can communicate with each other using the in-game chat system. This allows for both strategic planning with allies and potentially misleading conversations to confuse the Innocents. However, be cautious as revealing too much information might lead to suspicion falling upon you.

Objectives

The Innocents' main objective is to locate and activate a set number of generators scattered throughout the mansion. These generators power up the escape portal, which will allow the survivors to leave the mansion and win the game. Meanwhile, the Betrayers must prevent the Innocents from completing their objectives and instead eliminate them without revealing their true identities.

In addition to the generators, players can also find various items throughout the mansion that can aid in their survival. These items range from weapons which help during confrontations with the Betrayers, to keys that unlock certain areas of the mansion.

Betrayer Abilities

The Betrayers possess unique abilities that they can use to deceive the Innocents and gain an advantage. These abilities include transforming into everyday objects to hide in plain sight, setting traps to catch unaware players, and disabling the generators to prolong the game.

Game Progression

The game continues until either the Innocents successfully activate the escape portal and leave the mansion or all Innocents are eliminated by the Betrayers. Each game session provides an exciting and unpredictable experience, as players must constantly analyze their surroundings, communicate with others, and make critical decisions to ensure their survival or to deceive and betray their companions.
